(St)Age of Participation is an artistic research project being conducted jointly by the Ars Electronica Futurelab under the direction of Christopher Lindinger and Austrian media artist & choreographer Klaus Obermaier. The objective is to develop innovative forms of audience participation for stage-based media art of the future.

In autumn 2011, the project crew begins conceptualizing, testing and evaluating three experimental micro-performances supported by leading-edge technologies. On this website, we’ll regularly report on the progress (St)Age of Participation is making. This project is funded by a PEEK grant from the Austrian Science Fund.
